Brisbane CBD
Hail a bus (from Brunswick Street, 2 minutes walk), catch a taxi, or walk to the central business district of Brisbane and the Queen Street Mall (Myers, David Jones, speciality stores etc.). The Treasury Casino is located at the river end of Queen Street and the Brisbane GPO and the historic Customs House is located at the other end.

South Bank Parklands
Drive (plenty of parking available), catch a train from Brunswick Station (5 minutes walk), taxi or bus to South Bank Parklands. Variety abounds – cafes, markets, shopping, swimming, and entertainment. The Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, Queensland Performing Arts Centre, Queensland Museum, John Oxley Library, the State Art Gallery and Maritime Museum are all located at South Bank Parklands.

South Bank Parklands is the main location for markets on Friday nights, Saturday and Sunday, with another Sunday market at the Riverside and Eagle Street pier . On Saturday, head to the nearby Brunswick Street and Chinatown markets for an array of secondhand goods, Asian curios and alternative items.
