Drive (plenty of parking available), catch a train from Brunswick Station (5 minutes walk), taxi or bus to South Bank Parklands. Variety abounds – cafes, markets, shopping, swimming, and entertainment. The Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, Queensland Performing Arts Centre, Queensland Museum, John Oxley Library, the State Art Gallery and Maritime Museum are all located at South Bank Parklands.
South Bank Parklands is the main location for markets on Friday nights, Saturday and Sunday, with another Sunday market at the Riverside and Eagle Street pier . On Saturday, head to the nearby Brunswick Street and Chinatown markets for an array of secondhand goods, Asian curios and alternative items.
